Forward Deployed Engineer I

Agentic builds production AI agents for enterprise companies. We work with customers to identify high-value workflows, integrate AI into existing systems, and deploy solutions that are secure, reliable, auditable, and measurable.

• Customer outcomes over demos. We build systems that perform useful work in production.
• Evidence over assumptions. We define success metrics and test against real scenarios.
• Human oversight by design. High-impact actions require clear controls and approvals.
• Ownership through production. Deployment, monitoring, security, and adoption are part of the job.
• Build once, reuse often. Every deployment should improve the product.

• Base salary: $125,000 - $175,000
• Equity: 0.1% - 0.5%

What you will do

• Run technical discovery with customers.
• Map workflows, systems, data, risks, and success metrics.
• Design and build production AI applications.
• Develop agent workflows using tools, retrieval, structured outputs, and human approvals.
• Integrate with customer APIs, databases, document systems, and internal software.
• Build evaluations for accuracy, reliability, latency, cost, and business impact.
• Add monitoring, audit logs, fallbacks, and error handling.
• Work with customer security, compliance, engineering, and operations teams.
• Lead testing, rollout, documentation, and user training.
• Turn successful deployments into reusable product components.

You may be a strong fit if you

• Have strong software engineering experience and have shipped production systems.
• Can work across backend, frontend, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Are comfortable with Python and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Understand APIs, SQL, authentication, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Have built applications using large language models.
• Have experience with agents, retrieval, tool calling, evaluations, or workflow orchestration.
• Can turn unclear customer problems into practical technical solutions.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams.
• Take ownership from initial discovery through production.
• Are comfortable working in an early-stage company.

• Enterprise or regulated software environments.
• Compliance, fraud, onboarding, document processing, customer support, or operations workflows.
• LLM evaluation, monitoring, security, or red-teaming.
